12-MONTH AMENDMENTS

Having passed the one year mark since adoption of the Downtown FBC, a number of amendments are being proposed.  These amendments are based on a Staff review of all FBC projects, all cases that were heard by the FBC Committee, and input from applicants and the affected Neighborhood Associations.

The Chattanooga City Council is scheduled to take action on these proposed amendments on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at their regular 6:00pm meeting, at 1000 Lindsay Street.  The meeting is open to the public.

Two versions of the proposed changes are always presented to the City Council: 1) an RPA Staff version and 2) a Planning Commission version.  These two versions (links below) are long, detailed lists, but they are identical except for the following 6 items:

23)  Landscape for Parking Lots
28)  Neighborhood Review
30)  Parking Maximum
31)  Perimeter Planting for Parking Lots
35)  Ground Floor Elevation
36)  Protected Zone Trigger

In addition, items 1 – 19 (on both versions) are issues that just needed some clarification or cross-references.  Items 20 – 36 involve more substantive changes.

If you have any questions or comments about these proposed amendments, please direct them to Karen Hundt at khundt@chattanooga.gov or to Emily Dixon at edixon@chattanooga.gov.
